QFX Cinema in Kathmandu plan to extend in Lalitpur

QFX Cinema introduce

The biggest mall which is going to be built in Kathmandu name as Civil Mall which covered 25,000 sq feet. There will be an more than 100 indoor markets and introduce of the new brand called QFX Branded cinemas through Civil Mall which is launch by Quest Entertainment. It has first 3 multiplex screen with a seat of 939 viewers. They have invested more than Nrs 100 million and used technologies that rival Indian cinemas. It was even tasted in Jai Nepal and Kumari which came out to be successful. Civil mall which is located in Sundhara (Kathmandu) has made easy for everyone to reach and has become nowadays a dating or meeting spot of everyone. Now, QFX Cinema which already has own Jai Nepal, Kumari and Central Cinema at Civil Mall is planning to extended on Lalitpur Bisal Bazar (Pulchowk).

Today (25-09-2011) Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) did not register the weather forecast and due to bad weather (heavy fog and rain) could have cause the Buddha Air plane crash today. The Buddha Air plane was conducted to view Mount Everest and other peaks and was returning to the Nepalese capital. Plane had carried 19 people (3 Buddha Air Crews and 16 Passengers) among them 18 were dead on the spot and 1 was dead in B&B hospital while treatment was going.

The people who have been identify as following:-
  • Buddha Air crew Captain JB Tamrakar, Co-pilot Padma Adhikari, Air Hostess Asmita Shrestha and other 3 Nepali passengers were Sharada Karmacharya, Jagan Karmacharya and Nirajan Karmacharya.
  • Pankaj Mehta, Chhaya Mehata, S Nagaraja, T Nagaraja, L Nagaraja, HD Nagaraja, D Jalosubrisum, DP Jalosubrisum, P Jalosubrisum, and Nagraja Talosubrisum (10 indian passengers)
  • Toshinori Jehma of Japan
  • US nationals Natali Nailun and Andrew Wade

Pragati Shahi received WWF award


Environment and development reporter Pragati Shahi with her post and Pramod tandon with the scribe in Naya Patrika daily has received the Media in Conservation Award 2011 jointly.The awarded was formed with a memory of 15 conservationist died on a plane crash at Ghunsha in Taplejung on Sept. 23 2007 then the government deiced to honour all conservationists by celebrating Ashoj 7 as National Conservation Day in the country. 




According to WWF, "the recipients were selected on the basis of nominations received by an independent selection panel of experts. The awards carry a purse of Rs 25,000 and citations for individuals and Rs 50,000 for organisations."

The 3rd National Conservation Day was celebrated on Saturday. WWF name other individuals and organisations of this year were:-
  • Rajendra Singh Bhandari, deputy inspector general of police, Regional Police Office Pokhara 
  • Kalawati Chaudhary, an employee at Grameen Development Bank, Joshipur, Kailali
  • Bed Bahadur Khadka, assistant conservation officer, Chitwan National Park 
  • Raj Bahadur Air, farmer from Dhangadhi, Kailali 
  • Hamro Sampada National Monthly, Kathamandu
  • Shiva Community Forest, Bardiya and Alternative Herbal Products Pvt. Ltd, Bhaktapur

Yan Kumar Chaulagain and Manita Shahi, grapped a gold medal for Nepal in the current event that was held in Dashrath Stadium covered hall on Thursday (22-02-2011) in the event was called "First Mount Everest International Taekwondo Championship" which is so proud for Nepali. Not only the gold medal but Nepali players were able to grape two more medal of Silver. The player who were able to grape those name were Rohit Tamang and Deependra Thapa. It is good to know that Nepali players has such good ability in Taekwondo.

Restaurant Boat Capsizes on River

Restaurant boat that fails to breaks and collides with another boat on September 22 in China. There were 11 people rescured from the water after one fire fighter uses the rope to reach there and save them. It was some how lucky days for those people on such a dangerous moment.

Nepali model Varsha Thapa who is 20 Year old has now become a first ever Nepali to walk in the New York Fashion Week. Varsha, a graduate of Hospitality Management, arrived in New York as a model represented by Wilhelmina Modeling Agency two months ago who even represents Wilhelmina Model Agency made her debut at the fashion week wearing Prabal Gurung’s collection for Spring 2012. Nepali model, Varsha Thapa is the 3rd breakout star of the NYFW. She walked in 10 shows including 3.1 Philip Lim and Prabal Gurung. She also opened for Suzanne Rae, which is a feat for a new girl in town.

Some facts of Earthquake in Nepal

Year 1934:
8.4 - magnitude — Highest casualties for any recorded earthquake in the history of Nepal. A total of 8,519 people lost lives, 1,26,355 houses damaged and 80,893 buildings destroyed

Year 1980:
6.5 - magnitude — Far western region hit – Baitadi, Bajhang, Darchula — 125 dead, 248 seriously injured, 11,604 buildings destroyed

Year 1988:
6.7 - magnitude — epicenter in Udayapur, Eastern Development Region affected, 721 deaths, 64,174 private buildings, 790 government buildings damaged

Year 2011:
6.8 - magnitude — epicenter in Sikkim's capital Gangtok, 5 deaths, 25 injured.

Earthquake in Nepal (18 September 2011)

It was all sunden afternoon for Nepali people during Sunday Evening when there was earthquake. Quake was measured 6.8 on the richter scale with its epicentre in the border region of Taplejung of Nepal and Sikkim of India.

The quake occurred around 6.25 pm and lasted for 30 seconds to 1 min. People have claimed that the tremor was felt in Pokhara and as far as Dang and Nepalgunj of western Nepal.

Earthquake has destroy the British Embassy in Nepal and has even notice that 3 of them has died. 

5 people are dead due to the Earthquake and the names and age are as follows:-
