It is good to know that Nepal government has decided to name 2012 as  the "Visit Lumbini Year" consecutively after the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 with a major aim of promotion and explore the tourist destination. Lumbini, some 300 km far southwest of the capital Kathmandu is the birth place of Shakyamuni Gautam Buddha.

“The main objective is to develop Lumbini as a peace city and Buddhist centre of the world”

Some very popular singer and actor has been invited for the Lumbini Visit Year - 2012' campaign. Some of them till now notice are singer Ani Chhoing Dolma and Hollywood/Hong Kong movie star Jackie Chan as goodwill ambassadors of the campaign. Let me it happen and spread world wide for this nice Lumbini Visit Year - 2012' campaign .
